Welcome to the
Performance Technologists Wiki
Your Learning Lab will meet onsite in Atlanta on Monday, June 4 from 5:45-6:30 pm; Tuesday, June 5 from 12:45-1:00 pm and Wednesday, June 6 from 12:00-12:45 pm.
Your discussion facilitators are: Mason Holloway and Patti Radakovich. They will post highlights of each discussion on this wiki. You are invited to use it now and during the conference to share your ideas and network with others.
Question to get you started: What do you want to take away from the conference to use immediately back on your job?

I'd love to know your definition of a performance technologist. What do they do? How do they do it? And why?

That's a very good question. A performance technologist (PT) focuses on improving performance through many interventions, not just training. You can think of a PT as a doctor for the organization. The shortened version of the PT's process would include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The reason PTs do what they do (in my opinion) is to ensure that the correct solution is applied to the problem so the selected intervention can deliver the best results. For more info, I would check out ASTD's HPI certificate program or visit www.ispi.org.
